Ohio State's Henderson returning for senior season
Running back TreVeyon Henderson is returning to Ohio State for his senior year, he announced Friday.
Henderson rushed for 926 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games this past season. He also caught 19 passes for 229 yards for the 11-2 Buckeyes.
Injuries have prevented Henderson from playing in every contest over the last two campaigns, but he's been one of Ohio State's most consistent playmakers when available. He reached 100-plus scrimmage yards in half of his games this season.
One of Henderson's best contests in 2023 came against Wisconsin when he racked up 162 rushing yards and a touchdown alongside four receptions for 45 yards.
The 5-foot-10, 210-pound tailback has totaled 3,314 scrimmage yards and 37 touchdowns in 31 games with the Buckeyes.
The 21-year-old is one of many draft-eligible players returning to Columbus next season. Henderson joins wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, cornerback Denzel Burke, and pass-rusher JT Tuimoloau, among others, in foregoing the 2024 draft.
