5-star QB Raiola officially signs with Nebraska
Dylan Raiola will continue the family legacy and play college football for Nebraska, the school confirmed on Wednesday.
The nation's top-ranked quarterback made the biggest headlines of the 2024 recruiting cycle earlier in the week when he flipped his commitment from Georgia to Nebraska.

Raiola's father, Dominic, was a standout performer for the Cornhuskers from 1998-2000, winning the Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center after his junior season. He would eventually play 14 seasons with the Detroit Lions. And that isn't the pocket-passing quarterback's only familial tie to Nebraska: Dylan's uncle, Donovan, is the Cornhuskers' offensive line coach.
ESPN ranks Raiola as the eighth-best prospect in the class of 2024, making him Nebraska's highest-rated recruit in the modern era. His recruitment became one of Matt Rhule's most significant areas of focus when he took over as the program's head coach following the 2022 season.
While it's rare for a true freshman to be named starting quarterback, Raiola might just be the player to change that for the 2024 season. Nebraska was second-last in the Big Ten at just 135 passing yards per game last season and recorded 16 interceptions to just ten touchdown passes in the same span.
