Texas A&M adds to No. 1 class with 5-star DE Shemar Stewart
The rich got richer on Wednesday as Jimbo Fisher added one of the nation's top recruits to the No. 1 class in the country.
Five-star defensive end Shemar Stewart announced his commitment to Texas A&M on CBS Sports HQ, opting to join the SEC West program over staying local with Miami or joining national champion Georgia.
Stewart is the No. 6 overall prospect in the nation and No. 2 in Florida, according to ESPN. He joins fellow Floridian and No. 3 overall prospect Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy with the Aggies, giving Texas A&M the top two players from the Sunshine State.
With Stewart's decision, Fisher has now secured one of the best classes in the history of recruiting, headlined by seven recruits in the top 30 and the No. 1 overall player, Walter Nolen.
