Report: Texas A&M's King out at least month with fractured ankle

Texas A&M will be without quarterback Haynes King until at least mid-October after the redshirt freshman fractured his right ankle Saturday against Colorado, sources told Matt Zenitz and Gerry Hamilton of On3.

King completed one pass for 8 yards before suffering the injury. Without him, the No. 5 Aggies just eked out a 10-7 victory over the unranked Buffaloes.

Sophomore Zach Calzada played the remainder of the game, going 18-of-38 for 183 yards and a game-winning touchdown pass.

King has already undergone surgery on the injury.

He threw for 292 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in a season-opening win over Kent State on Sept. 4.
