4-star QB Garrett Nussmeier commits to LSU

Four-star quarterback Garrett Nussmeier announced Monday that he will take his talents to LSU in 2021.
Nussmeier is the son of Dallas Cowboys assistant coach Doug Nussmeier, a former quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at a number of prominent college programs.
The Flower Mound, Texas, native held offers from several other schools, including Michigan State, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Penn State.
Nussmeier is ranked 62nd overall on the ESPN 300 and 13th among pocket passers.
Myles Brennan, the presumed favorite to succeed Joe Burrow as the starting quarterback at LSU, will be a senior in 2021.
