Liberty has signed head coach Hugh Freeze to a new five-year contract, a source told Brett McMurphy of Stadium.
The compensation is competitive with the top-paid Group of 5 coaches in the country, McMurphy adds.
Freeze led the Flames to a 7-5 record in his first full season at the helm, clinching a bowl berth in the school's inaugural year in the FBS. Liberty will meet Georgia Southern in the Cure Bowl on Dec. 21.
