Kelly Bryant announces transfer to Missouri

Kelly Bryant is changing his stripes.

The former Clemson quarterback announced his transfer to Missouri in a video posted to Twitter on Tuesday night.

The news certainly was well-received at Mizzou.

Bryant led Clemson to the College Football Playoff last season, his first year as the team's starting quarterback. The Tigers lost to Alabama in the semifinals.

This season, Bryant shared the starting job with freshman Trevor Lawrence. The pair split time through the first four weeks until Bryant announced on Sept. 26 his intention to transfer.

He said at the time that he felt he never got a "fair shot" to win the starter's job and took the process as a "slap in the face."

At Missouri, Bryant will be the immediate successor to Drew Lock, who will end his senior season with the Tigers after the Liberty Bowl against Oklahoma State on Dec. 31.
