Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh blamed his Michigan State counterpart for the pregame incident that led Wolverines linebacker Devin Bush to stomp all over the Spartans' midfield logo.

"Total bush league," Harbaugh said after Michigan earned a 21-7 victory in East Lansing, according to the Detroit News' Angelique Chengelis. "Apparently coach (Mark) Dantonio was five yards behind it all smiling."

Bush and two Michigan teammates were involved in an altercation with the Spartans two hours before the game. According to Michigan officials, the Wolverines were stretching when Michigan State came out onto the field 10 minutes late for their ceremonial team march.

Harbaugh said he didn't see the incident but was told that defensive tackle Lawrence Marshall got "clotheslined" and cornerback Lavert Hill had his headphones ripped off.

Dantonio denied Harbaugh's assertions.

"That's B-S," he said, according to Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press. "You guys get your cameras out. I'm not gonna go to that. Go ahead, next question."

Bush also shared his version of the story after the game:
