A quartet of juicy contests will receive the prime-time treatment to open the 2018 college football season, beginning with Alabama-Louisville on Sept. 1.
ESPN announced its first four ABC Saturday Night Football games for the new season Wednesday. The schedule includes one matchup set for Labor Day Sunday, via Ralph Russo of The Associated Press:
Date | Matchup |
---|---|
Sat. Sept. 1 | Alabama vs. Louisville |
Sun. Sept. 2 | LSU vs. Miami |
Sat. Sept. 8 | Pitt vs. Penn State |
Sat. Sept. 15 | Ohio State vs. TCU |
The Pitt-Penn State rivalry hasn't featured a night game since 1985, according to Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, but that will change Week 2.
