The Norfolk, Va., native is ranked as the ninth-best cornerback in his class, and as the second overall prospect from his state. Jones is the 80th overall recruit on the 2019 ESPN 300.
The 6-foot defensive back also held offers from a number of other big-time programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Ohio State, and Oklahoma.
Jones is the tenth Clemson commit in the 2019 cycle. He joins highly touted four-star receiver Frank Ladson Jr., who pledged his allegiance to the Tigers earlier this month.
