Despite projecting as a likely first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, star offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt will return to Clemson for his senior season.
"I have decided to return to Clemson for my senior year," Hyatt said in a statement. "I have some unfinished business on the field and I know another year will benefit me. And, it is very important to me to finish my education."
Hyatt has been a solid performer during the Tigers' three straight trips to the College Football Playoff, anchoring the line for last year's national championship win.
He was selected as a second-team All-American for the 2017 season, and returns to help a Clemson offense that will also bring back quarterback Kelly Bryant and leading rusher Travis Etienne.
