Wisconsin's Cichy declares for NFL draft

After missing the season due to a knee injury, star Wisconsin linebacker Jack Cichy is declaring for the NFL draft instead of applying for a sixth year of eligibility.
Cichy, who announced the decision in a lengthy post on The Players' Tribune on Tuesday, had already taken a redshirt season, so he would have needed NCAA approval to play another collegiate season.
The former walk-on made 60 tackles in only seven games during the 2016 season and was a Butkus Award semifinalist despite missing half the schedule due to a torn pectoral muscle.
