Iron Bowl claims ratings title as most watched game of season

Five college football games eclipsed the 10-million plateau in viewership this season, with the Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn leading the way as the most watched game of the season, according to Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated.
The Iron Bowl was seen by 13.657 million viewers, drawing a slightly bigger audience than the SEC championship game between Georgia and Auburn.
The Big Ten championship bout between Ohio State and Wisconsin, the Week 1 blockbuster between preseason top-three teams Florida State and Alabama, and the rivalry battle between Ohio State and Michigan also attracted more than 10 million viewers.
