Chad Morris isn't wasting any time in rallying the troops.

Arkansas' newly hired bench boss met with his team for the first time Thursday, and took the opportunity to share his vision for the future of the program with them.

"We came here to win championships and that's what we're going to do," Morris said. "We're going to be explosive offensively. I've got the blueprint for what it takes to win a national championship. I was sitting at Clemson when we were six and seven ... and what excites me more than anything is seven years ago, Clemson looked just like Arkansas does right now today."

"So there's a vision. There's a how, and there's a why, and when we get all that aligned, great things happen."

Morris made the jump to Arkansas after a three-year tenure as head coach at SMU, where he authored a 14-22 overall record and brought the Mustangs back to a bowl game this season for the first time since 2012.

Prior to SMU, Morris served as Clemson's offensive coordinator from 2011-14.
