BYU's lack of offense this season seems to have resulted in a coaching change, as offensive coordinator Ty Detmer has been relieved of his duties, Cougars head coach Kalani Sitake announced Monday.
In Detmer's second season in the position, BYU put up a total of 222 points - an average of just over 17 points per game - on its way to a 4-9 record.
When BYU names a new offensive coordinator, the school confirmed that the new hire will decide on the offensive staff moving forward. Detmer also remains under contract with the Cougars.
