Tennessee restaurant apologizes for rumor Jon Gruden was dining there
The Jon Gruden to Tennessee rumor mill was firing on all cylinders Saturday when word surfaced that the ESPN broadcaster was dining at a Calhoun's location near Neyland Stadium with Peyton Manning.
The popular chain of Tennessee restaurants even retweeted accounts reporting that the Super Bowl winning coach was there.

Naturally, that got some Volunteers fans excited at the possibility Gruden was in town to negotiate a contract to become the program's next head coach.
Calhoun's then addressed the speculation on Twitter, saying it wasn't sure Gruden had been there after all.

Not only was Gruden not at the restaurant, but ESPN's Bill Hofheimer confirmed that the broadcaster is actually 2,500 miles away from Knoxville in Seattle, preparing for Monday Night Football.
