Tulsa wide receiver Justin Hobbs was on his way into the end zone for a 72-yard touchdown when he paid a small tribute to Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion 'Primetime' Sanders with a brief celebration near the SMU 10-yard line.
Hobbs was subsequently flagged for an excessive celebration penalty, which negated the touchdown and brought the ball back out of the end zone.
Tulsa would need to settle for a field goal on the drive, and they ultimately lost the game by a score of 38-34.
