Kiffin makes Hail Mary attempt to get Lamar Jackson to transfer to FAU
Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
Lane Kiffin is not one to waste an opportunity.
That's why the Florida Atlantic head coach didn't pass up a chance, as remote as it may be, to try to lure Lamar Jackson to the Owls.
Kiffin saw a tweet the Louisville quarterback made about his mother and hoped Jackson, a Florida native, might be interested in returning home.
Come home for her. #thefaU https://t.co/RBsGYp8zzH

The pitch seemed like a good-natured joke, but you can't blame Kiffin for trying.
