Ohio State proves last year's massacre of Nebraska was no fluke
For those who may have thought Ohio State's monstrous walloping of Nebraska last season was a fluke, you may want to refrain from looking at Saturday's halftime box score.
Ohio State made a statement last season when it embarrassed Nebraska with a 62-3 drubbing, and the Buckeyes opened up another can of whoop ass on the Huskers through one half of play Saturday, carrying a 35-0 lead on route to a 56-14 win.
It's worth noting Nebraska lost starting quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. to a concussion during last season's game, which could explain some of the Huskers' scoring struggles. But the sheer dominance of Ohio State in this rivalry extends further back in time.
By all indications, Saturday's game cemented a growing habit of Nebraska gift-wrapping big scoring numbers for Ohio State, as the Buckeyes have now totaled a 181-56 scoring advantage over their last three mettings.
The shellacking clearly did not go unnoticed by the Huskers faithful, as fans did what they often do best and took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
Ohio State 97, Nebraska 3 in last 6 quarters dating back to last year.

I mean Mike Riley might get fired and abandoned at the airport tonight and he's playing at home.
