In the wake of more passing-game struggles Saturday, LSU will look to create more playing time for true freshman quarterback Myles Brennan.
"We're going to give Myles more reps," head coach Ed Orgeron said Monday, according to The Advocate's Ross Dellenger. "See if he can play in the next couple of games."
Brennan didn't attempt a pass in LSU's 37-7 loss to Mississippi State. He threw four passes in the second game of the season against Chattanooga, and one in the season opener versus BYU.
Orgeron said senior Danny Etling will remain the starter going into the Tigers' Week 4 contest with Syracuse. After a solid opening week, Etling has completed a shade under 49 percent of his passes in the last two games. He's thrown for only 535 yards and one touchdown through three weeks, though he's also yet to commit a turnover.
Brennan was the fourth-ranked pocket passer in the 2017 recruiting class, via the ESPN 300.
