There is a very, very good chance Texas Lutheran University kicker Tyler Hopkin did something on Saturday that college (or pro) football has never seen before.
After having an 18-yard field goal attempt blocked, the Division III kicker focused in on the bouncing ball and managed to still convert the short kick through the upright.
If you're not sure if that is a legal play, it appears the officials didn't know either, so it stood. And who are we to say it shouldn't?
