Auburn's Kerryon Johnson leaves game with apparent leg injury

Auburn's backfield could be facing a less than ideal situation, as starting running back Kerryon Johnson left Saturday's game against Georgia Southern with what appears to be a right leg injury.
Johnson appeared to suffer a non-contact injury as he pulled up during a 34-yard run in the second quarter. The junior was able to limp off the field under his own power, but was visibly upset upon reaching the sidelines.
Johnson had already recorded 136 yards on 16 carries with a touchdown prior to leaving the game. Head coach Gus Malzahn called upon Kam Martin to replace Johnson following the injury.
A subsequent 14-yard touchdown run by quarterback Jarrett Stidham gave the Tigers a 17-7 lead with over eight minutes to play in the first half.
