Texas Tech's Desmond Nisby: Bringing power to Texas Tech backfield
Nisby had several impressive runs during Texas Tech's scrimmage over the weekend, Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reports.
Analysis:
The former junior college running back adds some thump to the Texas Tech backfield, checking in at 238 pounds. Coach Kliff Kingsbury alluded to Nisby's potential role in short-yardage situations, saying, "Nisby is going to be a big back that we can hopefully do some stuff with." Considering that Da'Leon Ward and Justin Stockton are on the smaller end of the spectrum, Nisby could be a valuable change-of-pace option that can help move the chains.
