Sam Darnold is too old to participate in the popular Scripps National Spelling Bee on Thursday night in Washington D.C., but that didn't stop the star quarterback from joining his USC teammates in a competition of their own.
The Heisman favorite and teammates Daniel Imatorbhebhe and Chris Hawkins took turns trying to spell the last names of a number of members of the Trojans' football team.
Darnold would emerge victorious by spelling offensive lineman Viane Talamaivao's name correctly.
