Fedora: Harris not guaranteed to start for North Carolina
North Carolina's search for a new starting quarterback isn't over, despite the widespread assumption that graduate transfer Brandon Harris will receive the keys to head coach Larry Fedora's offense.
"I've never promised anyone they could step on this campus and be the starter," Fedora said Tuesday, according to ESPN's David Hale.
Following three seasons at LSU, Harris announced Sunday his move to the Tar Heels, who are looking for prospective NFL draftee Mitch Trubisky's successor.
He has struggled to live up to the potential many saw in him as a four-star recruit out of high school. The Bossier City, La., native threw for 139 yards with one touchdown and two picks in parts of two games last season before being benched in favor of Danny Etling.
