Arkansas police released video Friday that shows Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield getting tackled by officers during his arrest for public intoxication last month.
Mayfield was also charged with disorderly conduct, fleeing, and resisting arrest. He's alleged to have been stopped by an officer after "yelling profanities and causing a scene," and then sprinting away when he was asked to approach the officer. The video appears to show Mayfield's attempted sprint, before he's quickly and forcefully tackled by multiple officers.
Mayfield has since apologized for his actions, saying he's sorry for not setting the right kind of example for children who view him as a role model.
