Former Notre Dame defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder is expected to join Oklahoma State as a defensive analyst, according to Bill Haisten of Tulsa World.
VanGorder, 57, was fired from the Fighting Irish four games into the 2016 campaign amid a heap of defensive struggles. He finished the year at Georgia, where he served as a consultant.
Oklahoma State finished the season ranked 92nd in total defense and 53rd in scoring defense. The Cowboys surrendered 26.5 points per game.
