4-star RB Travis Etienne commits to Clemson, trolls LSU in process
Clemson has bolstered its running-back crop, stealing four-star prospect Travis Etienne out of Louisiana and bringing him to the state of South Carolina.
"I'll be taking my talents to the real Death Valley," Etienne said, according to Glenn Guilbeau of KPLC. The announcement was a clear shot at LSU, which also calls its stadium Death Valley.
Etienne joins Clemson as the No. 13 running back and No. 114 overall recruit on the ESPN 300. He picked Clemson over LSU, while also holding scholarship offers from Oregon, Houston, and Mississippi State..
The 5-foot-11 rusher has been clocked at 4.43 in the 40-yard dash, so his speed could help him get onto the field as a true freshman.
