Washington will have one of its key defenders back in 2017.

Huskies defensive tackle Vita Vea will be coming back for his junior campaign, the school confirmed to Scott Hanson of The Seattle Times on Friday. Vea totaled 39 tackles and five sacks in 2016.

The sophomore was a pillar in the middle of a Huskies defense that finished 12th in the nation this year and his efforts earned him All-Pac-12 honors.

At 6-foot-5 and 332 pounds, Vea will be an intriguing prospect whenever he does decide to take his talents to the next level.
