Memphis quarterback Riley Ferguson left Friday night's game against Cincinnati in the first quarter with an apparent injury, according to Tom Schad of The Commercial Appeal.
Ferguson led the Tigers to 10 points on their first two drives of the game, before walking to the locker room with trainers.
The junior-college transfer later returned in streets clothes. Ferguson has thrown for 2,896 yards and 24 touchdowns this year, along with nine interceptions.
Backup Jason Stewart replaced Ferguson, leading Memphis to a 27-0 halftime lead on the road.
