USC's Jabari Ruffin has been suspended by the team for violating a student-conduct code, head coach Clay Helton announced Sunday.
"Due to a student-conduct issue, Jabari Ruffin has been suspended from our team activities and I cannot go into details about it. I don't have a crystal ball about when he could return," Helton told reporters after practice.
Ruffin was suspended for the first half against Utah earlier this season, after the senior was ejected for stomping on an Alabama player's groin in USC's opener.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive end has recorded two tackles on the year. The Trojans are coming off a bye and face Cal on Thursday.
