Arkansas' Bielema first posed as history professor to court wife
From his "borderline erotic" comment to his Freudian slip during a press conference last season, Bret Bielema has long been one of the best quotes in college football.
The Arkansas coach was at it again Wednesday during a radio appearance with Clay Travis of Fox Sports.
The two were discussing how the coach met his wife Jen, while working for Wisconsin. After confirming it happened at a Las Vegas casino, Bielema went into detail on his material as he courted her at a bar.
"I was with some guys with Wisconsin, one of them might have had a (Wisconsin) shirt on," Bielema began. "I didn't, I told her I was an MBA history professor. My MO back in the day was, before I got too well known, I always went back as a history professor. Usually you don't talk to a lot of history professors, you know?"
Bielema also had a plan in case anybody pressed him further on his claims.
"If anybody ever caught me off-guard and asked me what I studied or what I was a history professor in, I went with European religions, because I don't know anybody really knows what that means," he said.
The 46-year-old isn't just a great quote, as his Razorbacks are also performing well on the field, coming off a massive road win against TCU last weekend.
