Report: DA seeking access to Pepper Hamilton investigation from Baylor
The district attorney in Waco is asking Baylor for access to the Pepper Hamilton report, according to Paula Lavigne and Mark Schlabach of ESPN.
Hamilton's report detailed how the school handled the allegations of sexual assaults committed by football players. The McLennan County district attorney's office is requesting access to see whether or not other crimes were committed by student athletes, according to ESPN.
The DA is also trying to determine whether any football staff member engaged in criminal conduct.
Former Bears defensive end Shawn Oakman was indicted on second degree sexual assault in July, while Tevin Elliott and Sam Ukwuachu were also convicted of sexual assault in the past three years.
The Bears were in the news again this week, as offensive lineman Rami Hammad was arrested and charged with felony stalking.
