Report: Notre Dame, TCU have discussed a future game
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Notre Dame has made a point over the years of scheduling games across the county, one for branding reasons and the other for recruiting purposes.
It's one of the advantages of being one of the few independent schools left and scheduling who you want to play.
Now it appears that the Fighting Irish have reached out to TCU for a future game, according to Mac Engel of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
One issue standing in the way of a potential matchup is the uncertainty with the Big-12 schedule, now that it's added a championship game.
The two programs have met just once, back in 1972 with Notre Dame winning 21-0 at Notre Dame Stadium.
