Former Clemson player buried nearly $2M in drug money on farm
Former Clemson Tiger Bradley Lewis Felder pleaded guilty to federal drug charges Friday.
Agents reportedly seized close to $2 million in cash and property from Felder, including a bag containing $1.76 million in cash buried on his family's farm in South Carolina, according to Jane Moon Dail of The State.
Felder and friend Everette "Rhett" Carter Berry were charged with conspiracy to possess and intent to distribute the drug commonly known as "molly," plus close to 50 kilos of marijuana.
Drug Enforcement Administration agents began investigating the pair in 2013 for importing and distributing both drugs.
Felder was arrested Aug. 31 with a loaded .45 caliber pistol, as well as cellphones containing photos of large bundles of money.
The 27-year-old then led agents to the farm, where they discovered the large amount of cash.
Felder and Berry face a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $1-million fine.
