Kerr Kriisa is staying put at West Virginia after recently entering the transfer portal following Bob Huggins' resignation, he announced Sunday on social media.
The ex-Arizona guard was one of the most highly coveted players available in the transfer portal last spring.
Kriisa shot 39.4% from deep last season and led the Pac-12 with 5.1 assists per contest as he helped the Wildcats win a second straight conference tournament crown. The 6-foot-3 senior is projected to start for the Mountaineers.
Over the weekend, West Virginia promoted assistant Josh Eilert as interim coach for the 2023-24 campaign.
The school is still awaiting a decision from big man Tre Mitchell and guard Joe Toussaint, who both joined Kriisa in the transfer portal on Friday.
