Report: Minnesota's Carr withdraws from draft, considering transfer
Minnesota star Marcus Carr is withdrawing from this year's NBA draft and will consider a transfer, sources told ESPN's Jeff Borzello.
The Canadian entered the transfer portal in March before declaring for the draft. He recently participated in the NBA G League Elite Camp with many other NBA hopefuls.
"He's been focused on the draft, so he hasn't thought about it," a source told Borzello regarding Carr's list of potential schools. "He will definitely be looking at options."
Carr has developed into one of the nation's top guards since joining the Golden Gophers, averaging 17.4 points, 5.7 assists, 4.7 boards, and 1.1 steals over the last two seasons.
He earned All-Big Ten third-team honors and was on the Wooden Award late-season watch list during the 2020-21 campaign.
Carr was ESPN's top-ranked transfer before turning pro.
