Oklahoma and Florida canceled their matchup scheduled for Wednesday, the schools announced.

A reason for the cancellation wasn't provided. However, Florida plans to travel to Connecticut this week to play two games at the Mohegan Sun Arena, sources told Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Florida has yet to play a game this season. It pulled out of contests scheduled for this past week against UMass Lowell and Virginia due to positive COVID-19 tests within their basketball program.

The school intends to announce further scheduling updates Monday.

The Sooners and Gators were supposed to start a home-and-home series this season, with the former set to play host Wednesday before traveling to Florida in 2021. That series will now begin next season instead, according to Oklahoma.
