Duke's Zion Williamson won the John R. Wooden Award on Friday as the nation's top male college player in 2019.

Williamson edged out teammate RJ Barrett, Michigan State's Cassius Winston, Tennessee's Grant Williams, and Murray State's Ja Morant.

The Blue Devils freshman also took home the Karl Malone Award given to the country's top power forward.

He averaged 22.6 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.1 steals, and 1.8 blocks across 33 games.

Williamson's trophy cabinet was already loaded heading into this evening. He was previously named The Associated Press' Player of the Year and became the third freshman to win the Naismith Men's Player of the Year. The 18-year-old was a consensus first-team All-American and earned first-team All-ACC honors.

He led Duke to the ACC Tournament title and Elite Eight this past season. Williamson is widely expected to declare for the 2019 NBA Draft and be selected No. 1 overall.

Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu won the Wooden Award as the top female player.
