Sophomore center Austin Wiley will not see the court for Auburn until next season.

The NCAA announced Thursday that it's ruled the 19-year-old ineligible for the remainder of the season based on information provided by the school. Auburn reported that an internal investigation identified violations regarding recruiting, extra benefits, and agent-related activity that concerned Wiley.

In November, Auburn's athletic department announced it would indefinitely sit both Wiley and teammate Danjel Purifoy in connection with an investigation into Tigers associate head coach Chuck Person. Person allegedly received $91,500 in bribes to convince Auburn players to employ a financial adviser in Pittsburgh. The school fired the coach, who'd been indicted, a week later.

Auburn can appeal the NCAA's ruling on Wiley to the Division I Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement.
