Watch: Allen admits he never watched replay of Elon tripping incident
With Duke set to open its season Friday against Elon, ESPN's Jeff Goodman sat down with Grayson Allen to talk about the tripping incident that resulted in his suspension last December.
Allen admitted that he never re-watched the footage from the Elon game because he "knew what had happened," and explained he was upset on the bench afterward because he could predict the repercussions of the incident.
"I knew I fouled the guy, but I was mad about everything else that I knew was going to happen," he said. "... A storm. A media storm. I knew I messed up again and that's a stain on my character and reputation - something that I didn't want. I felt bad about it."
The Blue Devils captain also told Goodman why he decided to return to Duke for his senior season and discussed his relationship with head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
