Notre Dame secures ex-UConn forward Juwan Durham

Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

After one season at UConn, 6-foot-9 forward Juwan Durham is transferring to Notre Dame, he announced Saturday.

Durham, who averaged only 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per game for the Huskies last year, went to UConn as the 52nd-ranked recruit in the nation for 2016. He's the fourth notable player to leave UConn this offseason.

As an undergraduate transfer, Durham will have to sit out the 2017-18 campaign before becoming eligible again for the first of three seasons in 2018-19.

Notre Dame, which has thrived on developing veteran talent over the past number of years, will graduate top scorers Bonzie Colson and Matt Farrell after next season.
