Austin Peay's Dave Loos returns from leave of absence
After taking a leave of absence from the team on Jan. 5, Austin Peay head coach Dave Loos is returning to the sidelines for the Governors.
The Austin Peay athletic department announced Loos' return Tuesday, with his first game back expected to come Thursday against Morehead State. Loos took leave from the team while undergoing chemotherapy for a cancerous lymph node.
Loos also previously underwent surgery in July to remove a malignant tumor from his colon.

In 27 seasons as Governors head coach, Loos has compiled an overall record of 402-392, with four Ohio Valley Conference tournament championships and four appearances in the NCAA tournament.
Loos also has four Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year awards under his belt, coming in 1991, 1997, 2003, and 2004.
