2016 NBA Draft: 1st-round picks by conference
Dennis Wierzbicki / USA TODAY Sports
The dominant conference in Round 1 of the 2016 NBA Draft wasn't a conference at all.
Despite North American players taking up most of the hype leading up to the draft, it was the international pool that produced more first-round picks Thursday night than any NCAA conference.
Conference | Picks |
---|---|
International | 8 |
SEC | 5 |
ACC | 4 |
Pac-12 | 4 |
Big 12 | 2 |
Big Ten | 2 |
Big East | 2 |
WCC | 1 |
Atlantic 10 | 1 |
WAC | 1 |
The SEC had the most important pick, with Ben Simmons of LSU becoming the first player off the board.
