Tulane forward Dylan Osetkowski is transferring to Texas, he told Jeff Borzello of ESPN.
"I called Coach (Shaka) Smart a little while ago," Osetkowski said. "It was the right fit for me. I felt it was the best option for me."
The 6-foot-9, 255-pound sophomore averaged 11.3 points and 8.3 rebounds for the Green Wave last season. He announced his intention to find a new home after the program dismissed Ed Conroy as head coach.
Osetkowski will have to sit out the 2016-17 season, per NCAA transfer rules, but should carve out a nice role with the Longhorns in two years.
