WACO, Texas (AP) — Jayden Nunn scored a season-high 27 points for 12th-ranked Baylor, including three 3-pointers in the go-ahead run before halftime, and the Bears beat No. 25 Oklahoma 79-62 on Tuesday night.

The last scheduled meeting between the teams as Big 12 foes, and their first since 2016 with both ranked, was tied at 20 before Nunn connected from the right wing with 6:32 left in the first half. That ignited a 16-3 run in less than four minutes.

Nunn finished 8-of-12 shooting, including 6 of 9 on 3s, and all five starters scored in double figures for the Bears (18-6, 7-4 Big 12). Jalen Bridges added 14 points, while 7-foot freshman Yves Missi had 12. RayJ Dennis had 11 points and eight assists, and Ja'Kobe Walter had 10 points and six rebounds.

Rivaldo Soares scored 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting to lead Oklahoma (18-7, 6-6) before exiting the game due to injury with 4:58 left. He had to be helped off the court after his foot twisted awkwardly on a drive, and went immediately to the locker room.

After Nunn's tiebreaking 3, the junior transfer from VCU added another following a Sooners turnover, about two minutes before another long-range make. Dennis had assists on those last two 3s, and in between those drove for a floater banked high off the glass.

The Bears led 40-27 at halftime after Nunn's jumper at the end, and Oklahoma never got within single digits after that.

Baylor moved into a tie with Texas Tech for third place in the Big 12 standings. They both trail league-leading No. 3 Houston by a game, and are half-game behind No. 10 Iowa State.
