Kobe Bryant: 'Thoughts and prayers' with Belgian fans
Though only 10 games remain in the storied career of Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers legend is still aware that more pressing concerns exist than simply basketball.
Following Friday's loss to the Denver Nuggets, Bryant was asked by a Belgian reporter - bearing gifts and a hug - what he would want to tell fans in Belgium following Tuesday's terrorist attacks in Brussels.
"That our thoughts and prayers are with them," Bryant responded. "Words can't really express our concern level and understanding with them and what is going on. Just try to be as sympathetic as possible, as compassionate as possible, and hopefully they'll know that we have their back 100 percent."
Thirty-one people were killed and more than 300 injured Tuesday when multiple explosions rocked Zaventem international airport and Brussels' subway system in coordinated attacks linked to the Islamic State.
