The Cleveland Cavaliers are without power forward Kevin Love as they take on the Lakers in Los Angeles on Thursday night.

Love suffered a sprained knee during Wednesday's win over the Sacramento Kings. While he returned to finish that game after getting hit on the knee in the second quarter, the Cavs will rest him on the second night of a back-to-back.

Channing Frye drew the start in his place.

Love has struggled badly of late, averaging 13.4 points and seven rebounds while shooting 30.4 percent from the field and 17.9 percent from 3-point range over his last seven games. That's dragged his season shooting numbers to 41 percent from the field (a career low) and 34.8 percent from deep, his worst since 2009-10.

Regardless, the Cavs have been 7.9 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor this season.
