Fredette is expected to sign with the Knicks, Ian Begley of ESPN New York reports.

Analysis:

While nothing is official yet, the Knicks have an open roster spot and plan to use it to add some depth in the backcourt. The former BYU star is currently averaging 22.3 points, 4.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game in 28 outings in the NBA D-League this season, and he was named the MVP of the D-League All-Star Game. Fredette is expected to sign just a 10-day contract with New York, however, so his time spent with the team is to be determined.
