Wizards to play 3 straight days after break due to rescheduled game
The Washington Wizards will need all the rest they can get during All-Star week.
Their Jan. 23 game against the Utah Jazz - postponed due to a massive snowstorm in D.C. - has been rescheduled for Feb. 18, meaning the Wizards will come out of the break and immediately play back-to-back-to-back games.
After the makeup game against the Jazz at home, Washington turns around and hosts the Detroit Pistons on Feb. 19, then travels to Miami to play the Heat on Feb. 20.
It's another bad break for a Wizards team that hasn't caught many good ones this season. Slumping amidst a slew of injuries, they currently sit at 21-26 - four games out of an Eastern Conference playoff spot - just a year after coming within two wins of the conference finals.
The rescheduled game also means the Jazz will be forced to play a back-to-back out of the break, as they'll head home after playing the Wizards for a Feb. 19 meeting with the Boston Celtics.
